Sharing lessons and experiences from GEF project

On September 5th and 6th 2013 EASD representative participated on GEF (Global Environmental Facility) Expanded Constituency Workshop (ECW) for the constituencies of Eastern Europe, comprising the following countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia Georgia, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia and Ukraine.

The ECW brought together GEF focal points, focal points from the main Conventions (Biodiversity, Desertification, Climate Change and POPs), representatives from civil society and representatives from GEF agencies. The participation to the ECW was an opportunity to discuss priority issues and share lessons and experiences from the development and implementation of GEF projects and their integration within national policy frameworks.

ENV.net participated to EC Inception conference

On 23rd – 24th May 2013 the Regional Conference “CSF Framework for Partnership Agreement Inception Conference” was organised in Belgrade at Palace of Serbia. During this Conference, ENV.net presented its strategy (see ENV.net presentation) and to address the following priorities in the future:

  1. Strengthened capacity and efforts to provide analysis, advocacy and monitoring of key sector reforms at regional and national levels;
  2. Improvement of the environment for civil activism and state-civil society dialogue at regional and national levels
  3. Improvement of the legitimacy, transparency and accountability of CSOs in the region

ENV.net partners actively participated to the different work-groups organised during the conference which were very useful also to know better the other networks working under the FPA Civil Society Facility.
